Phenomenal Family Fun!

At first glance, Terrace Sports located at 5311 E. Busch Blvd in Temple Terrace, may not seem like much. It sits way at the back of the lot, in what most would call the “rough” part of town. Don’t be fooled. I admit, I drove past several times before giving it a try. But, I am a sucker for a good coupon and they had one heck of an offer : $15 gets up to 6 people an hour of bowling; including shoes, plus pizza and 15 bucks in game tokens. SOLD! Thank you Groupon.

Our party included two adults and three children under 5. They happily put up the bumpers and retrieved the extra light kiddie balls from the back. The staff was so awesome and patient, still smiling after pushing several stuck balls the rest of the way down the alley for us when the kids didn’t have enough muscle to get them to the end. They had no problem extending our time so we could finish the game. Who knew it could take over an hour to bowl ten frames? Everyone really wanted us to have a great time. The kids especially liked the black light bowling!

When knocking down pins was no longer thrilling we moved on to the arcade. Most games were for more mature audiences, but there were still enough to keep the little ones happy. The best part is that the games give out tickets that you can redeem for prizes. We all know kids love those cheesy plastic toys!
I also noticed a laser tag area that would be fun for older kids and a spot that can be reserved for birthday parties.

What impressed me the most was how hard Terrace Sports ,and the other businesses in the area, are working to improve the feel of the neighborhood. Everyone is really striving to make Temple Terrace a destination and not just a place you drive past.

We will be back again and again, even after the Groupon’s are gone!
