Mr. Termas’ Dilemma

Mr. Termas disliked Halloween and disliked kids. He disliked kids especially stopping cars passing by and asking for sweets, an unusual custom elsewhere but in the town of Delwa. As fate would have it, Mr. Termas was travelling through Delwa on the night of Halloween. On the Morning of Halloween, the coffee couldn’t keep him awake and he felt an awkward pain in his spine. The car was giving trouble and he feared that he was sure to be stopped. As the last hours of work neared and the sun began to go down, he began to sweat and feel anxious: What if the kids stop me? What if I don’t stop and they sabotage my car? While driving down the street he kept looking left and right for kids at every stop-over. He was continuously whirling the car on the street trying to avoid any contact with anything human and little. At the far-end of the lane, he could see some kids waiting to intercept him. Suddenly he wheeled his car forged another lane. After driving less than a mile, a few more kids were waiting at the far end of the lane. He turned the car again and was almost driving in circles of an hour. An hour turned two hours…three hours late into the night. Halloweens were the most difficult for Mr. Termas. He had lost his son one Halloween, 37 years ago. He was out on Parole after conviction of Kidnapping.
