Spiritual things are foolishness to a man with no spirit. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you which was given by God. You were bought at a price, therefore honor God with your bodies. We were baptized by one spirit into one body. Do you need letters of recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our letter from Christ, the result of our ministry written not with ink, but by the Holy Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of the human hearts. Our competence comes from God, he has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant-not of letters, but of the Holy Spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit gives Life. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To one we are the scent of Death, and to the other we are a fragrance of Life. Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.
They may be ever seeing, but never perceiving, and ever hearing, but never understanding, otherwise they might turn and be forgiven. The man without the spirit does not accept the things that come from the spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them.
Whether Christ’s return is near or in the near future, we as believers with a spirit of courage and strength must get in routine for the spiritual warfare that is now and is coming. In the end Death is swallowed in Victory. Life is stronger than death, it is Life that is given and can be taken. Death has no power, only end. But Life is a beginning and powers over all and I put my Life in Christ’s hands.
