JR Martinez and Chynna Phillips Tied for the Top Spot on the Leader Board on the Premiere of ‘Dancing with the Stars’

The fans wondered all summer long who would be dancing on Season 13 of “Dancing With The Stars.” Then they wondered how this new raised set would look. Finally, the wondered if the stars that were picked could actually dance. Tonight, they didn’t have to wonder any more. They could sit back and watch their choices shine. For tonight, was the premiere of “Dancing With The Stars” and overall the dancers did well. Yes, some were still a bit shy and were still holding back a bit on the dance floor. Yet, it looks like it will be a great season, after all.

Here is the current standing. How did your favorite fall on the leader board?

Ron Artest dancing with Peta Murgatroyd: They danced a Cha-Cha. Len said they were all sizzle and no sausage. Carrie Ann said they were wrong for all tech reasons. Yet, the fun factor was good. Their score was 14.

Rob Karashian and Cheryl Burke: They danced a Waltz. Bruno stated that Rob needed to feel the music. Len stated that he was not impressed or depressed. They scored a 16.

Kristen Cavallari and Mark Ballas: They danced a Cha-Cha. Carrie Ann sated that she was excited. She went on to say: “You shine, you sparkle. That was a very good. Sparkle.” Len stated it was lively and lots were going on. They scored a 19.

Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovalani: They danced a Viennese Waltz. Len stated that it wasn’t the vest first dance he had seen. But it was close. Bruno stated that you have the talent and you can do it. They scored a 22.

Nancy Grace and Triston McManus: They danced Cha-Cha. Bruno stated you got the moves. But you don’t believe in yourself. Carrie Ann said that she has the spunk and the sassy. But she has to work on remembering her chorography. They scored a 16.

David Arquette and Kym Johnson: They danced a Viennese Waltz. Carrie Ann stated she really liked it. Len stated that he was really impressed how they came straight out and went straight into the dance. They scored a 18.

Elisabetta Canalis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy: They danced a Cha-Cha. Len stated that she lost confidence and got weak. Carrie Anne stated that she fell apart when she was alone. They scored a 15.

Hope Sollo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: They danced a Viennese Waltz. Len stated that there was good hold, good movement and rotation. Carrie Ann stated that the body contact was impressive. They scored a 21.

Carson Kressley and Ana Trebunskaya: They danced a Cha-Cha. Carrie Ann stated the performance had value bang. They scored a 17.

JR Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: They danced a Viennese Waltz. Len stated the JR stood for “Just Right.” He also stated that his performance was right up there with the best performances of the night. Bruno stated that he had the courage and he had the hips. Carrie Ann stated that she was touched by his dance and his confidence. They received a score of 22.

Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: They danced a Viennese Waltz: Bruno stated that they had great chemistry. Carrie Ann stated that she looked a princess. They received a score of 20.

Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer: They danced a Cha-Cha. Carrie Anne stated that Chaz can nice. His footwork was precise. Len stated that he came out with the right attitude and footwork. They received a score of 17.

At the end of the night, JR Martinez and Chynna Phillips tied for the top spot. Now the question is who will be the first couple to be eliminated from the competition?
