In His Grace

Turn the calendar page

The turkey is all gone.
December is on stage,
November’s act is done,

After being thankful,
For bountiful harvest,
Our pantries shelves are full,
Yet there’s no time to rest.

Gifts to buy, gifts to make,
Holly to hang, Trees to adorn
Eaves to trim, sweets to bake,
Polishing the brass horn.

Think not of your own self,
Turn thought toward others,
Become a Christmas elf,
Ere the holly withers.

Search… find the true meaning
Of why we have Christmas,
Glad hearts will start singing,
Sweet carols of Christmas.

As thought turns toward Christ
Invite His spirit in,
To share in the moments
For there’s room in your inn.

Remember the one gift,
That only He could give,
The very thought will lift,
For in His grace we live.
