Cleaning any room is a home can be a chore and for a working mother it can seem next to impossible. The bathroom always seems to be the room that everyone hates to clean.Any tips that anyone can give is always helpful and here are some of the tips that I have learned over the years that have made cleaning the bathroom less of a chore as these can be done in 15 minutes or less.
The first step is to take all the rugs out of the room and hang outside over a fence or chair to allow them to air. While you are doing the rugs, you can toss any trash that might be on the floor into the trash can. As you are moving the rugs, if you notice that any need washed, just go ahead and toss them into the laundry and replace with a new rug or just leave it until the next laundry day.
Next, you will want to grab a broom or dust mop and remove all cobwebs from the corners and the ceiling. This ensures you that you have cleaned at the top of the room. Plus, you should always clean a room from top to bottom in order to avoid getting dirt on something that you have already cleaned.
Use some kind of antibacterial wipe or a rag sprayed with some kind of bathroom cleaner to wipe off the counter and any shelves that are in the bathroom. Also, use a dry rag to clean the light fixture if there is one above the sink.
Spray a bathroom cleaner into the tub/shower and allow it to work while you clean the toilet. Pour vinegar into the toilet if you are wanting to use a more natural cleaner and use a toilet brush to swish it around and clean the toilet bowl. Wipe the toilet seat and toilet tank with an antibacterial wipe. Once it is finished, go back and wipe down the tub/shower. This whole routine should only take 5 minutes at the most.
Fill a bucket with water and cleaner and mop the floor. I try to use a Swiffer mop to mop the bathroom floor so that it takes less time and I can throw away the wipe on the mop when I am finished with it. This will not take over a couple of minutes. Once you are finished you will have a clean and disinfected bathroom with little work.
