The Travel Channel claims that the ScareHouse lives up to its reputation as being one of the scariest Halloween attractions in the U.S. with the ability to send people running for the door in total pandemonium from the creatures that stir in the night. When the American Haunts team from the Travel Channel arrived at the turn of the twentieth century building that houses the creatures dwelling in ScareHouse they immediately knew that they were in for a treat when you consider that Pittsburgh is no stranger to horror and has been the featured city for many creepy flicks including Dawn of the Dead and the Night of the Living dead. The team encountered the threatening Creepo the Clown, several ghouls and zombies, and a dead farmer that seizes the moment to use the sharp meat clever that he openly carries around with him. The group ultimately enjoyed their out of this world 3-D party experience with the far out party girl Delirium.

The month of October has been big for ScareHouse and the Ghost Hunters made it an even bigger deal with a live ghost hunt earlier in the month. Pittsburgh never had it so good as some of the stars from Ghost Hunters met with fans and paranormal investigators at the Olive or Twist bar located in Pittsburgh’s cultural district. Dave Tango was asked what scares him the most and he quickly answered with “probably getting mugged” followed by “plastic bags and umbrellas”. Good answer Dave. I am not fond of any of those things either. Steve claimed that he didn’t like spiders and Kris and Amy stated that they didn’t like things that bite. When interviewed, the team claimed that real ghost hauntings allow you to prepare for what to expect where as haunted houses leave you guessing as to what is going to be coming at you from who knows where. The Ghost Hunters later toured Pittsburgh’s greatest Halloween attraction and all of them agree that ScareHouse is one of the best haunted venues in the country and that it only gets better year after year.

The ScareHouse prides itself on delivering some of the highest quality theatrics found in any haunted attraction across the United States. The group of highly professional special effects artists, technical engineers, and costume designers have several years experience in film, television, and theatrical productions, and the team of highly skilled artists, set designers, craftsmen, lighting designers, and make-up artists have been creating these grotesque galleries of freaky monsters known to cause massive mayhem to large crowds the ultimate scare test of the century.
