Didier Farms Pumpkinfest
This is a great family venue with pony rides, a petting zoo, moon bounce, chocolate shop, craft areas and so much more. And don’t forget the pumpkins! Open 9-5 during the week, and 10-5 on weekends. Admission and parking free on weekends, but you must buy tickets for activities which cost the same for adults and children. If you come during the week from 9am – 12pm, for a fee there is unlimited access to almost all of the activities. September 24 – October 31. Located in Prairie View, IL.
Statesville Haunted Prison
When the words Haunted and Prison on the in the title to a venue, the event is probably pretty darn scary. Be prepared to scream when you walk through old dungeons, jail cells, the Warden and so much more. Tickets necessary and start at $30. 10 and under not allowed in, and 15 and under need to be with an adult. Statesville Haunted Prison is 50 minutes southwest of Chicago in Crest Hill, IL.
Frightmare Haunted House
Located in Burbank. Illinois at the Haunted Trails Family Entertainment park, this venue is celebrating its 20th year. A half hour south of Chicago, the park is open year round, however, they get even more creative during the Halloween season. Pitch black mazes, haunted trails, scream scene cinema and so much more. There are all sorts of spook levels. Open October 7th thru October 31st – but the rest of the park is open year round. General admission $10 but they have some special $.99 days to celebrate their 20th year.
Chicago Midnight Circus
Because they are in their 13th year, lucky number 13, the Midnight Circus will be performing special shows October 29th – 31st at the Daley Plaza Chicago during the day. The cost is free. Fun, funnies, acrobatics, high flying, urban and so much more, this troupe will not disappoint.
