Fantasy Football Week Two: Wide Receiver Start/Sit Advice

There were some solid picks last week in the wide receiver department such as Kenny Britt of the Tennessee Titans and the amazing Wes Welker and old favorite, Steve Smith put up huge numbers. Other key receivers disappointed their fantasy football owners.

Fantasy football is all about ebb and flow. Don’t get too high on wide receivers such as Kenny Britt and Brandon Marshall and do not lose faith in the talented receivers such as Miles Austin or Santonio Holmes. Stick with the best players, week in and week out.

Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start in Week Two

Vincent Jackson: San Diego Chargers

Yes the Chargers are heading to New England but this will not matter to Phillip Rivers and Vincent Jackson. The two will hook up for some big yardage in Foxboro and Jackson will help fantasy football owners regain lost ground from a below average performance in the first week.

Santana Moss: Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins and Rex Grossman looked like they were on the same page last weekend and now they face an Arizona Cardinals team that was carved up by rookie Cam Newton. Watch Moss run wild for more than 150 yards in this one.

Mike Wallace: Pittsburgh Steelers

Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers are angry, pent-up and ready to destroy someone. Wallace’s speed will shred Seattle’s defense and his teammate Hines Ward will benefit with plenty of yardage underneath as well. Both Steelers are good starts in the second week of fantasy football.

Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Sit in Week Two

Steve Smith: Carolina Panthers

Steve Smith is a great wide receiver for fantasy football but he has a history of never being able to put together two weekends of back to back performances. Smith will do well but if there is a good wide receiver on the bench going against a weak defense put them in the lineup.

Kenny Britt: Tennessee Titans

No doubt Kenny Britt had the biggest fantasy football performance of his career in the first week but he will receive attention this week from a stout Baltimore Ravens defense. Britt will struggle to break the 50 yard mark this weekend.

Devery Henderson: New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees spreads the ball around and although Henderson scored the best among New Orleans Saints receivers in the first week, he will tail off in week two. Find a better option than Henderson in week two.
