Christ Arose from the Grave

I am the author of this poem and I wrote it as my personal expression of my faith in Christ. It is my desire that God will use it as a catalyst in bringing truth-seekers to a higher level of spiritual awareness concerning the truth behind the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Understanding this Easter Poem will make you more appreciative of God’s great salvation so rich and free. Its substantial fourteen lines having ten syllables in each line will also catch your attention to consider this poem worthy to be treasured for a lifetime.

In a moment, at the break of the day,

Something great happened in a lonely grave,

Guarded with trustworthy soldiers so brave,

Light so bright shone to set a famous day,

Humiliated grave could not hold its prey,

The fear-stricken guards lost their bravery,

Became victims of secret bribery,

Oh, greedy grave where is your well-kept prey?

Death was conquered by the Author of Life,

In vain, the grave could not show its power,

The Scripture was well-fulfilled in Christ’s time,

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life,

He rose from the grave with mighty power,

And saved a sinner like me in due time.
