Are You the Recipient of an Organ Donor Transplant?

Mayo Clinic states that you can save and improve as many as 50 lives, by donating your organs after you die.

Bob Aronson reported that a 47-year-old Caucasian male received a heart from a 17-year-old African-American male. There was a discovery that the 17-year-old even though killed by a drive-by-shooting played the violin and loved classical music. This 47-year-old Caucasian male had discovered after the transplant, that he had a new found love for classical music. Is it possible there is cellular memory in the organs that remain after the transplant? It sure looks like that is possible. It does make sense. You not only get the organ in a transplant, but you get the memories that come with that organ.

Wikipedia.org defines body memories as thought to be emotional, or chemical recordings stored at the cellular level and retrievable by returning to or recreating the chemical, or emotional conditions. The memory files the recordings.

There have been claims by some scientist that our memories and character are encoded. Daily mail.co.uk. States there is encoding in our brain, and throughout our entire body. Possibly this is good. Then the down side according to daily mail.co.uk is a heart transplant from a donor that committed suicide. The new recipient also committed suicide. Was this a coincidence? So is it possible to receive the good memories as well as the unhealthy memories of a donor?

Clare Sylvia was one of the first heart and lung transplant in New England. She spoke of new experiences that she had after the transplant. She experienced craving a beer and she was not a beer drinker, she had a liking for green peppers and KFC- chicken Nuggets. She discovered afterward that her heart donor was an 18-year-old, Tim Lamirande. He apparently was a beer drinker, liked green peppers, and chicken nuggets were with him at his motorcycle accident. Again, is this coincidence? I think not.

CPSA Courier talks about legislation that has passed to create a charitable Gift of Life license plate. The Courier also states there are more than 100,000 people in the United States waiting for an organ donor. There is more information regarding this at www.giftoflifemichigan.org.

Organ donors can receive a donor card to carry with them stating that they are an organ donor. Your driver’s license could indicate this information. Donate life.net allows you to register online to become an organ donor.

The gift of life is a precious gift. Scientists are steadily learning more and more about the saving of life every day. Those that are offering their comments after receiving an organ from an organ donor fascinate me. I have watched television viewing those that have come forth and met the donor’s family. There is the claim that the recipient feels certain characteristics the organ donor had. Do you know an organ donor? What are your thoughts about this?
