A Review of Stouffers Grandmas Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake Dinner: Family Size

When I came across Stouffers Grandmas Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake Dinner in the frozen meals section of my local favorite grocery store, it was on sale. That was the perfect time for me to buy this frozen dinner for four. I decided to try it and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!

I bought this family friendly dinner for around four dollars. That was a bargain price. The regular price is around six dollars. This dish has white meat chicken, rice, breadcrumbs, crisp veggies, all in a cheddar cheese sauce. That sounded terrific to me and I like all of those ingredients. I discovered that this meal has no preservatives. That is right, it is preservative free! Fabulous. It is also a good source of calcium. I could not wait to taste it!

You can cook this meal in a conventional oven, but it will take you eighty-five minutes to do so. This dish is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to bake it. You do not have to vent this dinner. I placed it in my microwave and cooked on high for sixteen minutes, removed the film cover, continued cooking on high for two more minutes and then let it stand for five minutes in the microwave before removing and serving. Make sure that this dish is thoroughly heated before eating. This meal looked fantastic and smelled yummy! When I tasted Stouffers Grandmas Chicken & Vegetable Rice Bake Dinner, I loved it. It is delicious. The crispy breadcrumbs are so good. The chicken is tender and juicy. The veggies, including celery, onions, peas and carrots, were all indeed crispy. The rice is divine. The cheese sauce is very good, but could have been a tad more cheesier. Still, this dish is so tasty, easy to prepare and filling, it pleased me and my family. I will be buying this one again. I rate it four stars out of five stars.
