A Review of Books a Million in Waldorf, Maryland

I will be reviewing the new Books-A-Million that just opened in Waldorf, Maryland. It is only bookstore with a café in the Waldorf. The book store opened November 21, 2011. BAM is more than a book store; it serves as a community center. I have seen people play chess as well as Avon Sales people get together to talk.

In particular, I love the café. My husband and I spend evenings and weekend afternoons in the café called Joe Muggs. I write on my computer and my husband pours over various books on nature and history. The service is quick, professional and friendly. Also the barista remembers what we want to order, because we come there so much. BAM’s predecessor, Border’s, served coffee that was stronger in my opinion.

Although you have to be a BAM member in order to use the WIF, business has picked up though, and see some people that were regulars at Borders. The music is pleasant and at the right volume as to not be distracting. The chocolate chip cookie that I have consumed was crisp and tasted homemade. Mike enjoys the fruit smoothies, whose aroma is tantalizing to the senses. BAM does not serve sandwiches at this time. They do serve a variety of pastries.

Besides the café/, Bam offers various books on a quite variety of topics. They also offer non book items, such as t-shirts. I enjoy going to BAM almost every weekend and hope that it stays in Waldorf for quite some time. It can be an inexpensive way to spend a Saturday night, if a great book does not catch your eye.

So come and visit the BAM in Waldorf, Maryland. You will be glad you did.
