9/11 a Day in Infamy

2976 Souls went about on a clear September morning.

Not knowing their fate was sealed without warning.

By terrorists we thought were a world far away.

Never thinking that they planned to kill us that day.

The Twin Towers they struck as we watched in shear horror.

First one then the other as they carried out their order.

Sent by a madman, to exalt them as Martyrs.

For killing, our mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters.

Just when we thought that the evil was done.

Another plane is crashed into our Pentagon.

Yet heroes emerged on that fateful day.

As others were fleeing they ran toward harm’s way.

Over Pennsylvania they fought the terrorists to their death.

Until in a field they gave their last breath.

Fire and Police ran into burning buildings that day.

Some made it back out, others the last act they gave.

Let’s never forget what happened that time.

Let’s never forget what fiends committed that crime.

We’ll make them all pay, either dead or alive.

Our vengeance is just and our turn will arrive.

For we are Americans, the best in the world.

None can stand against us, when our flag is unfurled.

We come through this stronger, and we shall prevail.

Keep running you cowards, because America won’t fail.
