A: It’s all about social value. Example:If I put you down that lowers your value which increases my value.If I show someone else that my value is higher than your value by lowering your value this lowers your value even further.The people that normally do this usually have low self values in the first place.They are usually bullied themselves or deem themselves to be a lesser individual i.e overweight, underweight, ugly etc.These people are much more likely to “talk crap” because they feel it boosts their self-esteem. When actually all they need to do is accept themselves for who they are.It builds a bond with others because it feels like by giving your opinion you are opening out to the other person or by listening to someones opinion you are building a stronger relationship because you can openly share opinions. However you will normally find that if someone argues with the initial gossip (or crap talking) that relationship is 60% more likely to fail. Roughly.For example:Gosh I hate that person.
