i need help with making a case study for developmental phychology?
Q: i need to do a case study for my class: developmental psychology. it can be one of these categories but im not sure exactly what a case study is and the teacher wont help me now so thats why i have come to yahoo answers for help but here are the categories:o Prenatal developmento Infanto Toddlero School aged childreno Adolescento Adulto ElderThank you everyone for your help in advance!
A: A case study is just the story of a person. In developmental psychology you would just follow their story as it relates to psychological development. Often case studies focus on a specific issue or several issues. For example, you might discuss physical, social, and/or emotional aspects of developmental psychology as it relates to an adolescent. You should have a textbook with some examples. Look for stories about people in your book, then pick an age (category that you listed above), and develop the information based on how it is written in your book. When I was in school we would do mock case studies on famous people (serial killers and movie stars were always popular choices), or make up a person with an elaborate background story and do it based on that (easier to get correct if you can think on your feet – if the teacher asks questions, we would add info as needed, haha).Even if that isn’t exactly what she wants, you’ll get some credit, and you may be able to redo it later for more credit if you tell her you didn’t understand at first, but would like the opportunity to try again.
What do you think about studying categorization(developmental psychology) based on inter-species comparison?
Q: What’s the importance of these studies? Are they ethical?
A: I think the categorization should be conducted on an interpretative analysis structure. Leave room for doubt, best guess scenarios while developing an interactive general hypothesis. The science of other species is amazing. It is best to not let the awe of it be lost on us, while, at the same time, not allowing it to cloud our judgment.
