Q: I was watching CSI and they said if someone is not looking you in the eyes they’re remembering when they look right or they are creating/fabricating/lying when they look left.Now all I want to know is if this is true seeing how the wire like connections between the eyes and the right & left sides of the brain cross (meaning the left eye is controlled by the right side & the right eye is controlled by the left side).

However neurolinguistic programming is not supported by independent peer reviewed research. I am presently in the process of conducting studies to try and prove or disprove this kind of activity. I speak with authority on this as this is my particular area of specialization — I teach a college course in which I had to write my own textbook, “exposing lies” by David A. Camp (me). You can verify that by going to Amazon or researching me. So as much as some people would like this to be true — independent evidence does not exist. However, independent evidence does not yet exist to say it does not work either. A: It usually depends because of how a person’s brain is developed. Try this: ask someone a question you know is true. See where they’re looking to access that information. You can do the same with something you know is false etc. I would also try with accessing visual information like directions on how to get somewhere. Q: I’ve read that when people lie they tend to look down and when they tell the truth they look up. Sorry if I messed up the directions. Anyway, the direction they look when telling the truth is supposed to be related to accessing memory as opposed to imagination. So, if someone planned a lie in advance or was telling a lie for a second, third time etc., would their eyes tend to look up because they are now using their memory?

A: This is what I noticed. The eyes look up, down, and to the side but never straight ahead at the person being lied to.C. :)!!
