How can I learn to Lucid Dream ?
Q: I want to learn how to lucid dream, but I don’t have any clue how to! Can someone point me in the right direction to getting started? And how long does it take to learn?
A: You need to keep yourself in the REM state for as long as possible. That’s the lightest form of sleep, between semi-conscious and light sleep. You can stay in REM by eating spicy foods before bedtime, which upsets your stomach during sleep and constantly sends messages to your brain during the night. Or you can hook yourself up to a sleep monitor and have a loud alarm go off if you fall too deeply into sleep, and then have the alarm stop when you approach semi-consciousness. When you wake up in the morning you won’t even remember the alarm ever going off.If you stay in REM long enough you’ll eventually have enough time to reason to yourself that you are in a dream. However, REM is just a transition between consciousness and deep sleep. If you stay in REM and not go into deep sleep you’ll be drowsy all next day. And, not enough deep sleep is bad for your health.

Q: I read somewhere to just randomly throughout the day think “Ok, am i awake or asleep? Can i make that thing over there move?” etc so then you should start thinking that when you are asleep as well…Well, nothing has worked so far, except for this ONE time a few months ago when in my dream someone was attacking me and i used my mind to make him fly around out of control…But the point is, how do you learn to do it? thankyou, hehehe!
A: Hi! My friend is always talking about lucid dreaming. I asked him how he did it. He said he started keeping a dream journal by his bed. Everytime he woke up he would write down a couple of words that described the dream he had. By doing this he became aware of his dreams. It helped me be able to experience lucid dreaming! Also, in the morning when you first wake up and you are still half way asleep, let yourself go back to sleep, but try and control what you dream about! It works best then!!!
