WWE – 2011 Hell in the Cell Preview

Well, another weekend, another WWE PPV ($50×12 months-$600? Damn!)

Next up, Hell in the Cell. I expect the craziness of current events to continue (which isn’t a bad thing), and will hopefully see a return of The Miz and R Truth. Let’s look at the matches.

Divas Championship – Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix.

I’m a little tired of Kelly Kelly’s cutsie routine, so I don’t mind hoping the heel, Beth Phoenix, wins the match and give the belt a little variety. Besides, Phoenix has what, about 30 pounds on Kelly Kelly? I don’t believe Kelly can pin Phoenix.

Sheamus vs. Christian.

While I don’t know what to think of the “new” Sheamus, I always liked his style (except for the ridiculous crown and cape he wore for awhile). He’s big, a brawler, and the size to fight Mark Henry and make it believable. I really hope he shuts Christian up – I’m all for good matches good competition between wrestlers but I hope it is just and old fashion beatdown. Christian’s new persona as the ultimate whiner drives me insane.

WWE Championship Hell in a Cell – John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio.

At first I thought Alberto Del Rio would be an afterthought, but after Monday Night Raw I am starting to view him a little differently. Del Rio beat Punk and Cena pretty severely with a chair after the CM Punk/ Alberto Del Rio match after the “cell” came down on top of the ring. I don’t think Del Rio will win, and I’m hoping that CM Punk wins the belt as a change of pace. Punk is right, he is one of the best wrestlers in the WWE and should be given his just due.

World Heavy weight Championship Hell in a Cell Match – Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton.

I don’t believe Randy Orton can beat Mark Henry, but that doesn’t matter. Orton has been without a belt for more than a week and I’m not sure, but I think there is something in his contract about keeping the belt for the next 5 years (just kidding). Seriously, Mark Henry is a welcome change and I hope he keeps that belt.

Other goings on –

Hopefully Kevin Nash won’t show up – that story line is DOA. Hopefully Triple H will realize that John Laurenitis is the one that is causing all the trouble and give him what he deserves.
