Some will argue in the wintertime you need boots gloves, warm coats, hats, and scarf’s. Some will complain about having to wrap up to protect themselves from the cold.
People have their own reasons for liking summer. Some prefer to vacation during the summer and not during the winter. Others may like that there is no school for the summer. Some feel they can really enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, gardening, or having beach parties during the summer. Then there are those that like the snow and prefer cold weather to hot weather. The bad thing about cold weather is that you may get the ice, slippery roads, the snow blizzards, and you could fall and injure yourself. People may like winter because they can go sledding, ice skating, skiing, and ice fishing.
You can get that fresh sunshine in the summertime, but in the wintertime the sun may not shine as often. The sun may shine slightly and still the temperature is 5 above zero. There are those that love to tan in the sun as oppose to going to tanning spas, they like that direct ray of light. But there are consequences for too much sun. According to Web MD too much sun causes skin cancer, early wrinkling, and age spots on the face.
Slips and falls are more common during colder weather. That hidden ice under the snow can cause for many injuries. How many times have you driven in cold weather and come across black ice (thin clear ice)? Most of the times it is not visible to the naked eye.
I associate winter with cold and gloomy days. Some may say I do not really know what cold is, but when it gets 2 above or below zero I shiver at that thought. It has been 2 above this year already. I even shiver with 39 degree weather. It is not my ideal weather. I cannot imagine getting caught in a snow storm or a blizzard. I can remember the big snow falls of 9 and 10 inches of snow. Shoveling out of all that snow was not fun. Well it was probably fun for the children that love to play in it and make snowmen and angels in it. Have you see the sun shining so nicely only to go out and feel the bitter cold? I still say give me summer any day. Which do you prefer summer or winter?
