Who Do We Hire for President in 2012?

No one fools around in a job interview. Successful candidates make certain that they are familiar with the company and its needs long before the actual interview. The prospective employee studies the market, researches a measurable plan and creates a specific money-making tool for increasing the company’s revenue. That applicant deserves the job. Yet, when watching employment interviews for the most important job in the United States, the political candidates’ debate with none of these specifics.

The job of President of the United States must represent everyone and every need. This position should build on what we do well and focus on how we can do better. An American President must focus on defining the needs of the American ideal here and abroad.

In the most recent job interviews for President of the United States, in 2012, the candidates have focused on topics that would never get them employed. Political analysts have had difficulty keeping current candidates “on topic.” It appears as though these applicants are not familiar with the job for which they are applying. We are allowing our prospective employee to debate capital punishment, HPV vaccinations and the reproductive rights of Americans.

As each American looks to hire their next president, we must require a specific and detailed plan replete with market research and state-by-state implementation. Hiring the architect who embodies the future will increase “the odds” of meeting the needs of the people and the ambitions of the country.
