With the highly anticipated release of the iPad 3, the Internet community has been abuzz with speculation as to when it will be released and what the new and improved features will be. What is likely to be certain at this time is that it will yet another hit for Apple, with lines of people at every single Apple store in the country jamming the Apple Store website with online orders.
Ever since the iPod came out 10 years ago, the iPhone 4 years and the iPad just 18 months ago, Apple has grown from near corporate death to become the largest, most valuable company in the world. Although the iPhone has a major competitor with the Google Droid, the Ipad has nearly a 70% worldwide share of the tablet market. Tablets powered by the Google Droid have also been fairly popular but they lost market share in the second quarter of this year. The Droid fell to about 27% of market share.
So when is the new iPad 3 going to be released? What will it have? Some of the many rumors that are lighting up the Internet airwaves are a thinner and more expensive battery, a faster quad core processor, an improved camera and video, and an improved screen. What seems to be probably at this time is that the new Ipad will have a thinner, more expensive battery but whether or not the price of a new unit will rise is less uncertain. The current A5 duo core processor might get a makeover and many consumers are hoping the A6 will be introduced with the new iPad but some sources say that it won’t be until next year. There is also the possibility of a much-improved screen with double the amount of resolution the current version has at 1,024×768. Everything device from camcorders to cameras and television are all in high definition so it’s no secret that computers and tablets will head in that direction.
Although the consensus among the rumor bloggers say that the iPad 3 will be released next month or even during the holiday season, other bloggers are now suggesting that it might not be released until early 2012. However regardless of when the new iPad 3 becomes available to the public, please be prepared to be at an Apple Store or stay away from one because standing in line for new Apple products is now all the rage. And if your computer seems a little sluggish the day of the release, perhaps it’s because so many consumers are signing on to purchase the trendy new tablet on the market.
Yet if you wait just a few months longer, you can start speculating of what the NEW iPad 4 will have and why it’s so much better than any other tablet. By early next year, I can guarantee that the rumor bloggers will drool over that new Apple product. Oh but wait, before the iPad 4 comes out, perhaps we will have even bigger lines outside the store when the iPhone 5 comes out! Who knows, maybe that might be released before the iPad! Stay tuned. But be prepared to wait in line.
