Okay, so what comes after asking out the girl of your dreams, well obviously it’s a date, but what is one supposed to do on a first date? Well that’s one tough question to answer, but as I have explained in my other articles, one is supposed to find out the likes and dislikes of the person they like so that there able to plan out this momentous occasion. For example maybe the person you like, loves to be romantic and prefers being outdoors rather than being couped up in a building. Well using the information at hand the best action to take is to, plan a picnic with food you made yourself, showing her/him that you care.
Because you planned a date in which you showed that one you were being romantic and two you cared enough to plan the date in a location in which she would like best. Now the key to planning a date is the location and entertainment, you want to make sure that this isn’t some last minute date that you planned quickly and without a second thought. You want to make sure that it’s a date in which both people present can enjoy, because you want her/him to feel like you care about them while having a good time, so that they go home thinking that this was a special day. Now I have the tendency to incorporate my own experiences in each and every article, and the reason that I do this because I believe that my stories serve as examples that may or may not be helpful to others that read these articles.
So here I go, it was on a Saturday morning in which we had planned our date and it was after I had asked out the girl of my dreams. So being happy and excited that this would be our first date after asking her out, that I used most of my Friday remembering all the information that I could from our small conversations during Spanish and our free periods. I recalled that she liked coffee, and her family, now most people wouldn’t think about planning a date using these two pieces of information but I was different. Using these two pieces of information I was able to locate a small coffee shop in our town that was close to her house that would give me enough time to hang out with her and her family after having coffee so that her parents could get to know me. Now it wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be, when I met her parents, they were in fact very nice and welcoming but I’m getting ahead of myself so let’s back up a little.
Now it was on the morning of Saturday that I arrived to her house, ten minutes earlier than the appointed time for two reason’s one to make sure I wasn’t late and two so that I could calm down as I waited for her to get ready. Now I will never forget this moment as she gracefully walked towards me and said “Hi” at this point my heart wanted to leap out of my chest as it was beating faster and faster. When I replied with my “Hi” I was pretty sure I was as red as an apple as she looked at me and smiled. Now after getting past this part we were on are way and off we went to the little tiny coffee shop in our town. After ordering our coffee we sat down at a table next to a window and began to talk, asking each other questions that were both intriguing and fun and as we finished our coffee we headed back to her house.
At this point I met her parents and her brother, now at this point I was really nervous and began to become paranoid as thought after thought entered and exited my head. I began to overload with thoughts, but it was thanks to the kindness of her family and her brother that I was able to keep it together because they didn’t interrogate me or treat me badly. Now the reason that I thought like this because, like most teenagers I watched a little too much t.v. and from most of the t.v. shows I see, there are times when the boyfriend of a daughter becomes the victim of her parents endless stream of questions. But her family was different, they treated me kindly and I was able to enjoy my time with them as well as with the girl of my dreams. So after meeting her parents I had felt that I had taken a giant step forward in getting to know her, and when I left her house I felt happy as I said goodbye to the girl that I love which is also the girl of my dreams. Now to me this date was perfect in every way possible, nothing went wrong, we both enjoyed ourselves, and we both left thinking about this special day. Now here are some tips that might help you out.
Tips when going on a date:
1. Plan the date around things what he/she likes
2. Show up about 5 to 10 minutes early to a date so as not to be late
3. If you meet the parents don’t be nervous be confident
4. If they do ask you questions answer them truthfully
5. Make sure that you both have a good time on the date
6. Don’t plan the date last minute
7. Make your date feel nice, with a complement
8. Don’t be shy and act confident on your date
9. Dress appropriately for the occasion
10. Don’t forget to say goodbye and tell your date that you had a good time with them
Now the things that you should do change according to the type of person you are dating he/she might like the fact that you are nervous and find it cute. So don’t be afraid to try different things that aren’t on this article, just be sure that both you and your date have a good time. As long as both of you enjoyed the time you had together than I would say that your date was a huge success. For example in my story me and my date had a good time, and not only that I was able to meet her parents which allowed me to get closer to her because family is an important part dating someone. Because to some people their family is the world to them, and making a good impression with them allows you to get closer to the person you like.
After the first date the next couple of dates come easier to you, and your able to hang out with the person you like more often. Now if your first date takes a couple of bumps in the beginning don’t worry because during a date on has the ability to turn this around and make the rest of the date a wonderful and joyous day. So we have gone from getting a girl/guy to notice you, from asking them out, to what to do on a date, which has been fun and interesting. So what comes after this, well not much because after the first date I’m pretty sure the next dates become easier, and after dating comes an engagement and marriage but even I haven’t gone this far yet and until then this concludes my stories about me and my girlfriend and every now and then I will write a story about me and her, but this also means my range of topics will expand for now, because everyday brings a new and exciting story that must be written and published for the world to see.
