Top Ten Chicago Bears Linebackers

The Chicago Bears have the greatest collection of linebackers in the history of the NFL. From Bill George, who invented the middle linebacker position, to current star Brian Urlacher, the Bears are synonymous with the position. Currently there are six former Bears linebackers enshrined in Canton.

The Top Ten Chicago Bears Linebackers:

1. Bill George: Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the NFL 1950’s All-
Decade team and eight-time All-Pro selection.

2. Clyde “Bulldog” Turner: Eight-time All-Pro selection, member of the NFL 1940’s All-Decade Team and is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

3. Bronko Nagurski: Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and the NFL 1930’s All-Decade Team.

4. George Connor: Four-time All-Pro Selection, member of the NFL 1940’s All-Decade Team and is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

5.Dick Butkus: Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, NFL 1960’s All-Decade Team, NFL 1970’s All Decade Team and an eight-time Pro Bowl selection.

6. Mike Singletary: Member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a 10-time Pro Bowl Selection.

7. Otis Wilson: Two-time All-Pro selection

8. Wilber Marshall: Two-time Pro Bowl selection

9. Lance Briggs: Six-time Pro Bowl selection

10. Brian Urlacher: Seven-time Pro Bowl selection, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, 2005 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and a member of the NFL 2000’s All-Decade Team
