The White House and How to Fleece the Taxpayer

Obama and the now defunct Ch 11 solar energy company Solyndra. No-one is in jail – but taxpayers are out $535 million. White House emails confirm what was previously denied. Obama fundraiser George Kaiser (one of America’s richest), and associates enlisted White House senior advisers to sell Solyndra solar panels to the U.S. government.
(Never mind of the fact Chinese solar panels and wafers are half as expensive)

Email communication also detail the Obama fundraiser lobbying, discussing Solyndra with the White House, senior Obama advisors and officials, asking for a federal loan for Solyndra, an item the White House said never occurred.

The Obama administration may have to shed even more Solyndra details, by complying with a subpoena from the (House) Energy and Commerce Committee, which is demanding any and all documents related to the failure of the solar energy company. At first, the White House resisted the efforts however, a change maybe taking place, in the administration now says – they like to avoid further confrontation – and will provide additional material to the Committee.

In the coming week, we will also see DOE Secretary S. Hu testifying before the House Energy and Commerce investigative subcommittee, what he knew about the Solyndra loan. The controversial secretary might be inclined to say more than the White House wants, since the now public emails on Solyndra also showed one political Obama advisor outlining in a memo to the President – Secretary Hu’s failures and wanting him fired.
