The Trolly Cars

The trolly cars are green and white,
The clang and ding to my delight.
They go by swifly on their way,
To the Navy Yard far away.

I hop onboard and take a ride,
My grandmother is by my side.
She pays the fare for us, you see,
And travels on the car with me.

We ride the trollys up and back,
And listen to the clackety clack.
The bells are beautiful to hear,
When one passes by, another appears.

The conductor takes our fare,
I watch outside I’m not aware,
Of the change purse he always wears,
And gives out change for all our fares.
