With the variety of dating services out there, there are services for many of the things people have in common: religion, hobbies, music, etc. According to an ABC News International news article, in Japan, blood type is one of those things. Using blood type to match make may seem odd, however, it can be used provide the same general ice breaker as ‘what’s your sign?’ in a less clichéd manner.
Too Cool

Type AB’s are rational, they deal with goals and obstacles on a cool and logical basis. Sometimes they could mean that they say the truth, whether people want to hear them or not. It is not that they do not observe social cues or cannot make the effort to tell white lies, but they see truth as logical, and therefore right. This leads them to be the problem solver, the philosopher, the seeker of truth. Of course, too much rationalization can also lead to thoughts that do not fit into the realm of social acceptance. To the rest of us, the logical solution may not be the acceptable solution. They have the love of structured of Type A’s and the lack of regard for social cues of Type B’s.
Far Out
According to author Tong-Son Pak, the thoughts of the AB may even appear to be alien or from another dimension. Author Yating Guo also indicated that type AB’s may prefer their own internal, rational thoughts over the messy realities experienced by the rest of us. Sometimes this is seen as being unemotional, or for those who interpret silence as a lack of support, judgmental. Relationships with Abs can be a challenge, as more often than not, being rational is not the same as being supportive. This can lead to hurt feelings or long held resentment on the other party. The AB person might have internalized his or her thoughts, but to others, it can seem like they have simply checked out entirely.
