President Obama,Yes, the Union is Stronger; Soon, We’ll Be Unable to Turn it Around

“The state of our Union is getting stronger, and we’ve come too far to turn back now.”

According to a January 25 FoxNews.com article, in reference to his mission of rebuilding the United States economy, President Obama spoke that statement in his 2012 State of the Union address. However, in that statement, two sad truisms clamor for introspection.

The first sad truism is when the President says the state of our Union is getting stronger. Yes, Mr. President, it is, especially when you consider unemployment. In 2008, when you took your oath of office, unemployment in the United States was 7.6 percent, now, under your leadership, unemployment is a strong 8.6 percent. Thank you, sir; your administration has strengthened the unemployment figure in the United States a full percentage. Good work.

Furthermore, under the not-quite- four-year tutelage of the Obama presidency, the National Debt increased a strong $4 trillion. To put that in perspective, in 2008, because of the National Debt, each citizen in the United States had a debt load of $30,550. Now, in 2012, because of the National Debt, the debt load of each United States citizen is $47,000. Thank you, Mr. President, for your hard work to strengthen our debt load. Good job.

Equally important, impending fiascos like Obama-care, no plans to reduce entitlement spending and nothing concrete to facilitate job growth helps strengthen our stagnation. Among other possible disasters, these actions of the president helped strengthen the mortgage crises, and the resolve of our enemies to stand against us. In fact, Mr. President, you stymied job growth when you vetoed plans for the Keystone pipeline. Moreover, your class warfare diminishes hope our past style of living will return. Thank you, sir, for strengthening despair in the United States.

The second sad truism is President Obama saying we’ve come too far to turn back; I agree; we are near to not being able to turn back. In our present strengthened state of disarray, if the President’s policies and way of governing continues, the United States will default. Even worse, though, is the possibility of being conquered by an enemy, or enemies, because the president wishes to weaken the military.

Nevertheless, by the grace of God, the United States has a way out of the Obama-pit. It’s a presidential election, and it happens in November 2012. Be sure you participate.
