After 10 years of marriage, supporting Kobe Bryant in 2003 when he was accused of sexually assaulting a 19 year old female, then settled litigation with a former maid issue accusing the NBA player Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa of harassment and just before the holidays and upcoming NBA season after a long lock out, Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa files for a divorce.
According to her the cheating never stopped since 2003 and she can’t take it anymore. There was no prenuptial agreement therefore she is entitled to half of his fortune. What puzzles me is that if one of the reasons of this divorce is “cheating” then why didn’t she file for a divorce back in 2003? She was already married to him and was going to get money regardless.Also, why didn’t Kobe Bryant have a prenuptial agreement? Let’s be serious nothing is forever “at least with celebrities” most of the time isn’t and besides things happen in life and you never know what can happen tomorrow. The reality is he is a celebrity and too much is at stake when dealing with a divorce. You always have to think outside the box even in the happiest moments and think about the what if.
I think this situation could have waited because now this could have an impact on Kobe’s performance with The Lakers. Of course, I am not insinuating that Vanessa Bryant should have stayed with her cheating husband like she claims but if she has dealt with it since 2003 she could have waited until the holidays had passed to drop the news.
Whether it was the cheating or maybe some other motive that led Vanessa Bryant to end her marriage with NBA Basketball player Kobe Bryant we hope that they maintain a cordial relationship for the sake of the children.
