Looked at a map the other day,
There were images of sacred cows.
How could this be I asked my friend?
He didn’t know why or how.
The map then showed mountains of ants.
This was getting very weird.
Next I saw a cranky, old man
Sporting a very long beard.
A fairy and gremlin crossed my map.
They were followed by a hermit crab.
My mind was perplexed and deeply troubled
When I saw a giraffe hailing a cab.
“This map is useless,” I told myself.
Then the map started to rise up and say,
“I’ll take you to far away places
If you want to go this very day.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
This is very strange to me.
The map then left the house
And attached itself to a tree.
My friends think that I’m a little crazy.
My obsession with this map is complete.
I stare at the map that’s attached to my tree
While enduring the summer’s heat.
One day you may come for a visit.
The map will still be there.
Just remember to be very quiet.
My map’s being guarded by a bear.
