My All Time Favorite iPhone Apps

Your smart phone can make your life so much easier when you have the right apps and take advantage of all that they offer. Here’s a review of some of the best apps and how they work to make your life easier or just to pass the time. We sometimes forget what it’s like to live without our smart phones but try being away from it for just a day and you’ll quickly see that you use the apps all the time or at least several times a day. Apps for the iPhone come and go constantly but there remains a few that have been some of my favorites since the day that I got it.

Notepad or just simply labled as notes – This app comes with the phone, no need to download. I’ve used this app for all kinds of things from simple reminders, grocery lists, monthly bills or just anything that I want to right down quickly but can’t find a pen. I know that it will always be right there in my phone.

iHandy level – this is a level that can be used for household tasks such as hanging pictures or making sure that shelves are level. It’s a great tool, the free version only offers the level but the paid version offers plumb, surface level and a ruler. It can be quite handy when you’re out and about and need to measure something.

P Tracker Lite
– This one is just for the ladies so gentlemen feel free to skip this portion. This tool helps women to track their cycles each month. The paid version has a way to track weight and temperature but even the free version has a place to list daily notes so you can get around that. On this app you can add in the day that your cycle started and ended, how each day went and even mark down symptoms such as headaches and bloating. It tells you how many days were in your cycle each month and even tells you approximately when you might ovulate if you’re trying to conceive. This is all around a great app!

SkyView free – With this app you can open it up and move your phone around to see where in the sky that the space station is, certain stars and constellations are, and even where some planets are. It’s a neat app to have for when you’re looking to find certain things and have no idea where they are.

Songify – This is a really neat app. You can talk or sing into your phone and Songify will edit whatever you say into a song. When you’re done making a song you can publish it or just start over. There’s also a tool to listen to what other people have recorded. It will keep you laughing for a long time. Another fun way to do it is to record your pets and listen to their barks and meows when they are made into a song.

iBooks – With this app you can search the library and buy books to read on your phone or you can get a free sample of a book to try before you buy it. There are also several free books to download so that you always have something to read when you need it.

AroundMe – This helps you to find things that are near your location such as banks, stores, restaurants and much more. Everyone should have this app.

Maps – A must have app for sure. This one will help you find directions to an address, give you turn by turn views on a map as your driving or walking and tells you in a good bit of detail exactly where you are. It’s really good to have when you’re in an area that you’re unfamiliar with and you don’t want to carry bulky GPS systems.

The iPhone has proven to be above and beyond your everyday average phone and with the right apps to fit your lifestyle, you can make your phone into your own personal super tool.
