Living on the Logos

Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

This scripture has inspired me on numerous occasions when it seemed as though the vision/dream that I was pursuing was not going to manifest and come to pass. It has provided assurance that the mental image I was pursuing was going to come into fruition though it seemed far away. A specific instance was the time between the release of my third and fourth CD. The events in my life clouded the vision and made it seem impossible. However, I held on for five years, and at the end of that period I was able to accomplish what I had visualized.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you.

I’m amazed at how powerful this scripture is. What I have learned is that you must interpret this scripture as a step by step procedure. First, I have asked for things (prayed for resources/opportunities) and sometimes I received exactly what I asked for. But then, there are some items I never received although I asked for them. As a result, I had to move on to the next action which is to seek so I could find (look for resources/opportunities). I have sought after things and never discovered them. However, I didn’t stop there. I began to knock on doors (take advantage of opportunities/use resources) and before I knew it, I had received the thing(s) or results that I desired.

Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

This is one of my favorite inspirational scriptures because I have seen firsthand of how the Lord is good to those who wait on him. I sought the Lord for a spouse and it took me a few years to find her, but I know that even after fourteen years of marriage, she was well worth the wait. Despite our ups and downs, she is a virtuous woman in my eyes. Had I not waited for her and sought the Lord about her, I would have missed my blessing.

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

There is what’s called the possible realm (natural) and the impossible realm (supernatural). In order to obtain “impossible” things I have had to believe God and operate in the spiritual realm. In essence, I have experienced situations where I did all I could do, but then God stepped in and did the miraculous because I kept my faith despite the obstacles and circumstances I faced. However, I have watched many people miss God and miraculous opportunities because they confined themselves to the “possible” realm.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
Because of the many titles I have, I am a firm believer that I can do all things. God has enabled me to obtain whatever I have desired, put my mind to, and worked hard for. My life has been a continuous, unpredictable journey. Through it all, I have held on to Christ and made it. Therefore, I wholeheartedly believe this scripture because it has exemplified itself in my life.
