Live in the Moment and the World Becomes Beautiful..

You hear many saints, sages and teachers continuously declare how we should live in the moment. Most people, unfortunately, don’t really know how to do this. Truly living in the moment brings a sense of serenity, tranquility and clarity. This is typically the result of regular meditative practice, although it can also sometimes manifest unprovoked in a gracious moment of nature.

When you learn to live in the moment the world seems to slow down. Things that may normally cause stress or anxiety seem to vanish. The moment is a place of even-mindedness and transparency. Outside stimulation seems to have an inability to ruffle your still waters.

The sky seems bluer, the grass greener, the trees more splendid and the sounds of life more melodic. Living in the moment erases concerns of the past and worry of the future. All there is… is right now! And there is no judgment of the now just acceptance. If it’s raining outside then the rain seems perfect for the moment. If it’s cold outside then you enjoy bundling up in the midst of the crisp, fresh air.

When you’re in the moment, even an abandoned old tire appears artistic if you merely trace its outer edges, its grooves, its contortion and its story. Being in the moment isn’t so much about what we perceive through our senses rather the world becomes an extension of the inner beauty of ourselves. Our souls are the true place of all bliss and beauty; the plays of the senses merely dance in harmony with our Awareness.

For those that live in the moment, life becomes a heaven on earth. You travel the middle path of Truth unswayed by the extremes of duality, hot or cold, up or down, past or future. You can either wait for nature to bestow these beautiful moments upon your consciousness or you can choose to go within, claim your peace and surrender to the Moment!
