I’ve walked this earth for many years,
Yes, life’s not been easy, a lot of tears.
I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth,
earned everything in life…there’s “no” doubt.
Circumstances wasn’t over the moon,
suffered many strife’s and a lot of gloom.
Years ago I learned to take what was dished out,
yes, there were many times I’d cry and pout.
Life wasn’t easy for this southern girl,
it was a struggle and often I was in a whirl.
I figured out long ago, make the best of the situation
whether it’s good or terrible to continue in position.
Stand strong for my beliefs and passions in life,
not allow others to deter my walks and daily strife’s.
Life is what comes as may, “no” time to linger or shun away,
I’ll give my best with what I have, live life to the fullest every day.
Give my all to God and my land, proud for my liberty and my country,
thankful I can live out my ideas with a strong mind and unanimity.
Expressing thanks and my fortitude from God and His word,
allow my abilities to express my ideas and opinions to the world.
