This ArtsUnion event will celebrate the squeezebox and the many cultures that use the instrument in their music. From Noon until 3pm the event will consist of accordion flash mobs located at random squares around Somerville, of which anyone with a squeezebox is invited to participate in. Then from 3pm-6pm, the performances will move to areas around Union Square.

In celebration of the upcoming Equinox, Revels Music Director, George Emlen, will lead the annual Revels River Sing, a night of group singing and poetry at the Weeks Footbridge along the banks of the Charles River. The celebration will begin at Winthrop Park in Harvard Square with kid-friendly activities such as hula hoopers, face painting, a “Honk” band and puppets. The grand procession to the Charles River will take place at 5:45pm.
