Homemade Rolled Beeswax Candles

If you love candles, homemade rolled beeswax candles are easy to make and fun to burn. The natural smell of the beeswax is intoxicating and provides the feeling of the outdoors in an enclosed area. Each candle is made from beeswax sheets with a honeycomb texture. Beeswax sheets are available at hobby and craft stores or on the Internet.

Things You’ll Need:

2, Beeswax honeycomb sheets
18-inches of candle wick
Ruler
Scissors
Craft knife

Instructions:

Step 1 – Cut one sheet of beeswax in half to create two pieces 4-inches tall and 16-inches long. Easily divide the beeswax sheet by folding it in half matching the two 16-inch edges. Gently crease the fold making sure not to crush the honeycomb. Open the sheet. Place a ruler along the fold. Cut along the edge of the ruler with a craft knife.

Step 2 – Cut two pieces of candle wicking 5-inches long.

Step 3 – Place the candle wicking parallel to a 4-inch end. Position the wicking so it is as close to the 4-inch end as possible.

Step 4 – Roll the honeycomb as tight around the wicking as possible without crushing the honeycomb texture.

Step 5 – Create a second candle in the same fashion.

Step 6 – Follow the same instructions but create an 8-inch tall candle. Use the remaining wicking to place along an 8-inch edge. Roll the beeswax around the wick.

Place the three candles together in a grouping. Tie a ribbon, raffia, hemp or jute around the center of the rolled beeswax candle for added texture.
