The first cool breeze of the fall season brushes their cheeks,
turning red, coupling with a warm smile and closed eyes.
The couple holds hands and walks underneath the trees –
brown, orange, and green leaves fall around them
and seem to paint a perfect picture of the fall season.
Cold hands move to gloves and then into pockets –
faint breath hovers outside of their pursed lips.
There is a calming smell of sweet, burning leaves –
surrounding, naked trees take the couple in their arms
and seem to paint a perfect picture of the fall season.
Indeed, the fall season has embraced the two –
all that is left for them is to enjoy and breathe.
