Dr. Conrad Murray Found Guilty of Manslaughter

Delivering the fate of Michael Jackson’s personal physician, jurors have reached a unanimous verdict in the six-week involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray.

Following less than nine total hours of deliberation, the jury of seven men and five women came back with an uncontested decision of guilty, meaning Murray faces up to four years in prison and the loss of his medical license upon sentencing.

The guilty finding comes after six hours of deliberation on Friday and less than three hours today.

During the hours between the verdict being reached and formally read, a mass of MJ supporters swarmed the outside the LA courthouse, chanting “justice for Michael” and “guilty, guilty.”

On hand for the ruling they have been waiting for so eagerly, Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, as well as siblings Randy, Jermaine and La Toya Jackson, were all in attendance for the much-anticipated end to the case.

According to sources, those closest to the King of Pop were given a 2-hour “heads up” when the jury came to its decision today.

In his closing argument, defense attorney Ed Chernoff explained, “They want you to convict Dr. Murray for the actions of Michael Jackson.

However, prosecutor David Walgren shot back, “Poor Conrad Murray.. Michael Jackson is dead. And we have to hear about poor Conrad Murray and no doctor knows what it’s like to be in his shoes. What is unusual and unpredictable is that Michael Jackson lived as long as he did under the care of Conrad Murray in this situation.”
