I saw the following: “Do Not Stare At Laser With Remaining Eye” on one of those NerdVana sites called slashdot where pseudo intellectual basement dwellers try verbally to de-pants one another in public. The hyperventilating in this particular case may have been warranted. All in attendance seemed to agree that a one watt laser should not be sold to the public at large without a white cane and a seeing eye dog ’cause just looking at the reflection of such a laser beam could damage the eye.
I don’t know if that is literally true but I know that if you engage in some activities: U R 2 stewpid 2 live.
If these breathless nerds were correct than then the company selling these “light sabers” is selling eye damage to the public at large. So if you suddenly lose your sight and the last thing you can remember is the brightest green light imaginable: You know what happened.
