Crows Will Take Your Soul

In 1922 a small town just outside Burlington, North Carolina there lived a single mother with her two children, Max and Jaden. She had inherited fifty thousand dollars from Aunt Aida who recently passed away. With that money she purchased her family a home. About a month after they settled in, Max began to notice the appearance of a crow on the tree just outside his bedroom window. Max, at first, did not think much of it but the crows reappearance every night at 8:00pm began to raise his suspicion.

On one cold night in September, Max noticed the crow had not shown up at the usual time. He ran to alert Jaden of this fact and when he entered Jaden’s room all he found was a pile of black feathers on the floor. Max went to tell his mother of the incident but she too went missing. Max ran outside to the tree in hopes of finding a trace of his mother and brother, but found nothing and went missing himself.

A neighbor came by the home since no one had heard from the family in a while only to find it abandoned. The home went up for sale and rumors began to spread of the curse of the crow on the house. The house stood empty for thirty years.

In 1952 another single mother purchased the home with divorce money. She too had two sons, Matthew and Jacob. Matthew, just like Max, noticed the crow on the tree. He was afraid of the home from the rumors he heard and when he noticed the crow he told Jacob immediately. Later that night Matthew and Jacob went to the tree at 7:55pm to wait for the crow to appear. 7:56, 7:57, 7:58, and 7:59. Time seemed to stand still and move so quickly all at the same time.

Now 8:00, slowly a figure of a tall shadowed man rose from the ground at the same time the crow appeared to greet him. The boys shook with fear. Too frightened to move, the man approached them and at that point they noticed what they thought was just a shadowy figure was in fact a bundle of crows shaping the body of the man. The crows, possessed, broke out of formation and began circling the two boys. They circled them in such mass at such height that the boys could not be seen by any onlookers. When the circling subsided there was no trace of the Matthew or Jacob.

Since then, the home has remained abandoned and quarantined from all. The sign out front reads “Beware The Crows Will Take Your Soul”.
