At WrestleMania 29, we could see CM Punk in the WWE Championship match. Currently, WWE Officials have CM Punk at the top of their list (currently under consideration), and he will probably remain at the top of their list. CM Punk has established himself as one of the top guys in the WWE. Plus, CM Punk is currently number one in merchandise sales (ahead on John Cena.)
As for John Cena, the time has finally come for him to focus on his upcoming partnership with “The Great One” at Survivor Series.
John Cena will reportedly be removed from the WWE Title picture after the Vengeance PPV. It is widely speculated that Del Rio will retain the WWE title against Cena in the “Last Man Standing Match.” So expect some interference of some sort in favor of Alberto Del Rio.
More than likely at WrestleMania 29, The Rock vs. John Cena match will not include the WWE Championship.
WWE Officials feel that if the title is included, then the outcome of the match is too predictable. They sense that the WWE Universe doesn’t expect The Rock to leave WrestleMania 29 as the WWE Champion.
