Christian Astrology – Modern Day Sun Worship

There are many parallels in astrology that mirror the savior birth stories we know of in Christianity, as well as in other religions from cultures around the world that are not that well-known. There are many other savior God crucifixion myths that have existed in the years prior to Christianity. Every one of them has almost the exact same story that we know of about Jesus. I would love to go into detail about that, however I will be focusing on the origin of astrology in all of this. As we look deeper into the traditions of this religion, we will find even more interesting astrological facts that have many Christian similarities.

If you look at any cross you are basically looking at a yearly calendar in a cyclic format. There is a straight up and down line from the top to the bottom with each end representing a Solstice. Likewise, there is a line drawn from left to right across the center with each end representing an Equinox. This gives us the starting point of all four seasons and is known as the cross of the zodiac. The sun is centered on the cross since it is what the cycle revolves around and is therefore revered because of its life bearing qualities.

Next time you pass a church, look at the cross. More times than not, you will see a circle right in the center where the lines intersect representing the sun on the cross. Make no mistake about it – this is not a coincidence here. This was purposefully done to symbolize the relationship we have to the Sun and how we worship it in the form of a man. The cross you see symbolizes the light of the world and how it dies and rises again (every day) for us so that we may live in its presence. Hmmm, doesn’t that sound familiar? Going to church on SUNday is also not a coincidence.

The Sun is the light and life giver of our entire existence on Earth. Without it we have no life whatsoever. It nourishes and sustains us in every way possible. Because of it we are saved from the wickedness that the cold and darkness brings which is in opposition to the light. In fact, the origin of the word Solstice is from Latin where sol means sun and sistere means to stand still. Solstice simply means that the Sun stands still. This is precisely why many cultures worshiped the Sun and still do today.

The origin of the word “sin” also comes from Latin and means to be without. Some ancient civilizations believed that they were living in “sin” during the dark hours between dusk and dawn until the Sun rose again and took away their darkness (or sin). They were then saved and born again with the Sun. Just as darkness cannot exist in the presence of light, fear cannot exist in the presence of love.

We have taken this natural phenomenon and monetized it in the name of greed and for the sake of profit. In the process of doing so, we have destroyed our spiritual connectedness. We have given away our ability to save our self and connect to our true divinity from within by hiding behind mythological characters. I don’t think the tax free income of the church would be so successful if they said that during the tithing, offering and mission trip portion of the service.

Here are some random Christian astrology similarities:

The “zodiac” relates to how the constellations are personified as mythological animals and figures. The Sun begins its teaching (enters each sign of the zodiac) at 30 degrees. The Sun has 12 followers (signs) that it goes through on its journey. The Sun at 12 noon is in the house of the “most high”. Through vegetation, the Sun can turn water (rain) into wine (grapes). The Sun appears to walk on water when it sets over the ocean. The sun emits (wears) a corona. On December 25, the eastern constellation was Virgo (Virgo in Latin means virgin). The glyph (symbol) for Virgo is the altered M. Virgo is also referred to as the house of the bread and its wheat symbol represents the time of harvest when the farmers are tending to their flock. The Sun is the light of the world.

The greatest enemy ever feared by the indigenous people of the world was the darkness of night because of all the unknown dangers that it brings. When we begin to understand that, we can see why we worship the SUN in realization that with it, we are saved from the evil darkness that lurks. The Sun rises each morning and exposes those lies by shining its bright beautiful warm light. The sun takes away all of our insecurities, doubt and fear we create in the presence of darkness. In German the word sonne means sun. When we look at the words God and good and devil and evil we can see why we say God is good and the devil is evil.

For the past 2,000 years or so we have been living in the age of Pisces which is the ruler sign of religion, spirituality and intuition. The dark side to Pisces is that it can also be a time of spiritual oppression, religious dogma and judgmental criticisms based on intolerance. We are entering into the new age of Aquarius where things that have been hidden are exposed to the light of truth. Religion is not exempt from having all its dirty little secrets revealed. We are in a process of awakening to our full potential and omnipotent power within ourselves! It is a time when we start to live in love instead of fear. This is powerful enough to cause a global shift in collective consciousness.

In fact, our true spirituality is one of the first things that we will have a chance to reclaim when we start to see all that has been withheld from us by the clergy. It is pretty obvious to me that Christianity is modern day Sun worship with ample amounts of astrological symbolism that prove it. This article was written under the opinion I have established from many years of research on connecting religion and theology to its astrological origin. I recommend that you research things for yourself and come to your own conclusions.
