Busy Mom Reviews Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin Deodorant

My life does not allow me to stand still. Whether I am at work, yoga, watching hockey practice, or playing Legos with my son, I cannot be worried that I am stinky. I decided to put Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin deodorant to the test to see if was strong enough to keep this busy mom dry.

Initial Impressions

Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin deodorant is a creamy texture. The directions indicate that two clicks should be applied to each under arm. I was worried that it might feel slimy because I am used to solid deodorants. The deodorant went on smooth and did not feel slimy or wet at all.

There is a pleasant, fresh scent to the deodorant but it is not overwhelming. Some deodorants make me smell like I’ve showered in air freshener. That is not the case with Secret Clinical Strength.

Required Change to My Routine

One odd aspect of Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin is that it is applied at bedtime. This required a change in my routine. It feels strange not to put deodorant on in the morning. Several days of the week I take my shower at night so it fit in very well at those times. When I showered in the mornings I tried not putting deodorant on after my shower. I did seem to stay dry but I felt uncomfortable, almost naked, all day. Whether it is necessary or not, for my own comfort I apply Secret Clinical Strength in the morning after a shower.

Horribly Sick Test

During my test of Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin deodorant I happened to get very sick with the stomach flu. The fever had me sweating and I was miserable. Remarkably I stayed sweet smelling even through the illness.

Overall Scorecard

I give Secret Clinical Strength for Sensitive Skin a B+. It did a great job keeping this busy mom dry through a variety of activity filled days. I pushed it to the limit and it held up without trouble.

The reason this deodorant didn’t get a perfect score is because I do not feel comfortable not putting it on in the morning after a shower. For this mom, routine is what allows me to get everything done during the day and stay sane. A major change to that routine, like putting the deodorant on at night, was a lot to ask considering that normal strength deodorant also works for me. If I had a problem with normal strength deodorant, the change in routine would not be a deal breaker.
