Sometimes, it is hard being a big sister to a four year old and a five year old when you are already 28. My mother has adopted my niece and nephew from my brother and his wife whom in four years they have wanted nothing to do with these two kids.
I was once the youngest and I got pretty jealous at one time because they were being taken cared of. Now, I have embraced the role of big sis after I have seen how much they love me and need me.
Being the big sis is not an easy task. To follow the rules mom has set up for them, I have to be the bad guy sometimes but I would not trade the role of Big sister now for anything in the world.
