Do you know what herpes look like? They are small itchy bumps. Since I cannot see them, I could not tell you for sure. It could also be a yeast infection. If it is something you never had before, get it checked out. Good luck.

Wednesday, I took 4 Azithromycin pills at 250mg per the doctor’s order for chlamydia?
Q: Thursday night, I started to itch all over, not in the vaginal area, all over my body, but I really didn’t pay it too much attention to it I just took a shower and went to bed. But, today, Friday, I am still itching. I only had to take the pills that one time, but what can I do about the itching. Does this mean that the chlamydia will not be cleared up? Is the itching going to stop? Or do I have to go to the doctor for them to do something about it? Help!!!

HELP!?-Chlamydia.. recent complication?
Q: Okay, I have chlamydia, I’ve known since May, but I just got the medicine and took it Sunday night 7/26/09 (today is Monday evening) but anyway since about Saturday night I’ve been itchy and irritated down there, I looked up stuff online and it could be a yeast infection or something and that chlamydia can cause a yeast infection or those symptoms, SO MY QUESTION IS- “Will the chlamydia medicine clear up these symtoms too? Or will I have to get medicine to treat these symptoms separately???”- because I do not know if these symptoms are part of the chlamydia or a separate yeast infection..help please. much appreciated. thanks in advance.-Oh, and meanwhile, is it safe to use Protrollium Jelly down there? Wont it sooth the itch and irritation?Because I won’t be able to get to a store anytime soon that sells Vagisil..PS- please don’t ramble to me about guys and not trusting them and stuff. I KNOW- but this is not from my boyfriend, this is from an ex.. its been in my system for awhile&I found out about it in May and was not able to get the medicine until recently. I am in a committed longterm relationship with a guy I KNOW only sleeps&kisses&loves me. [Trust me, I talk to his mother and so I know where he’s at, hes either home, with me at my house, or with me at school or out with his family.] so please, no lecture about trusting guys, I was dumb in the past with my ex. I know you can’t trust all guys.thankyou, and any help is again much appreciated.
A: The medicine for chlamydia won’t touch yeast. Chlamydia can cause itching and irritation, or it could be a coincident yeast infection, or it could be some other STD, assuming you weren’t tested for all of the common ones. If you’ve never had a yeast infection diagnosed by a doctor before it’s recommended to go to the doctor before trying to treat yourself, because self-diagnosis of yeast infections is often wrong. Do not use petroleum jelly or any other oil-based substance on your genitals. These do not wash out with vaginal discharge, and can contribute to yeast infections. If you have hydrocortisone ointment you can use a small amount of this *externally only*, but only in the short-term. Hydrocortisone can cause thinning of the skin and potentially make an infection worse if overused. If your current boyfriend has not been tested he should get tested as well. You shouldn’t have sex until you’re done with your course of treatment to prevent passing it on to him (so he can pass it back to you!)In future don’t let STDs like chlamydia or gonorrhea go untreated because of lack of insurance. It’s worth paying out of pocket to get diagnosed and treated for these diseases, because in rare cases they can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and infertility.
How do I tell my bf I have chlamydia?
Q: I’m in a really bad situation right now……..I live with my boyfriend, we’ve been together for 3 years and I really love him…….but a couple of weeks ago we had a HUGE arguement and I went out and got really drunk and ended up sleeping with this other guy (and not using a condom – I know it’s stupid)……..I’ve never cheated on my boyfriend before and I feel terrible about what I did.Anyway, I was having some itching and burning down below and some pelvic pain and I went to the doctor hoping it was just thrush, but he did some swabs and phoned me today with the results and I’ve got chlamydia……….he says I have to tell anyone I’ve slept with and I’ve slept with my bf several times since sleeping with this other guy.How can I tell him? I really love him, what I did was a terrible mistake and I wish I’d never done it, but I’m so scared that this will split us up……..
A: Leave him alone, don’t infect him with your mistakes. No wonder this country has a problem with STD’s.
