what should i do about irregular bleeding?
Q: i’m having irregular vaginal bleeding. it’s been roughly 12-14 days after my period, and i started bleeding like this about 2 days ago. i went away for 1 day, but i started again today. i’m pretty sure it’s not an std, because i’ve never had unprotected sex, and my boyfriend is clean. what could it be? where can i go to get tested for anything?i’m freaking outalso, bleeding is the only symptom. i don’t feel sick and i don’t hurt..also, bleeding is the only symptom. i don’t feel sick and i don’t hurt..
A: This bleeding that you are noticing could be as a result of being stressed about something (an example only). It can also be an indication of an infection such as with the cervix (another example only).I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
Irregular Vaginal Bleeding?
Q: I’ve had sex with my boyfriend about once a week for the past 2 months or so. I recently had a UTI because of this, and i took one birth control pill and decided not to take anymore. We used condoms everytime we had intercourse. I had my period like normal and i am supposed to get it on friday, November 28th. Since my last period, my vagina has been bleeding. Its not a lot of blood, but it doesnt look like my usual period blood. What could be the cause of this bleeding? What is the percentage that i am possibly pregnant? And how normally does this happen to most women? Im 16 years old, by the way.
A: nobody should tell u the answer except….the doctor…he’s a professional
What is the cause of this Irregular bleeding?
Q: I got off my period about a week or so ago. Me and my boyfriend had intercourse April 2nd around 11am. It was a little rougher than usual but nothing painful or any of that. Then, 10-12 hours later I was bleeding. I went to the bathroom at 8pm and nothing was there but then when I came home and went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was blood. Not a huge amount but enough to make a wide strip of lighter red colored blood. I tried looking for answers and all I could find were STDS, implantation bleeding or some type of vaginal cancer/tumors. My boyfriend does not have stds, and I checked the condom to make sure it didnt break. It doesen’t seem like enough blood to be as big of a problem as vaginal cancer. but who knows. should I be really worried about this?I also read that implantation bleeding happens 10-14 days after intercourse, when the egg attaches itself to the uterus. I just ran out of birth control on the 27th and I am still using protection so I’m almost positive it couldn’t be from that. Could it maybe be side effects from my body being so used to taking the birth control? and now its without? Also within the past, on the last day of my period I had unprotected intercourse, but the next morning I took EC just in case. that might be another cause?? I have been bleeding since around 10pm last night and it’s gotten a TINY bit heavier. I don’t know I’m just getting really worried about all of this.I have a doctors appt. scheduled within the next week but until then I would like some answers if anyone can help!I just read a Q&A from a girl saying she had unprotected sex the day after her period and took EC immediately after and then 6 days later she had her period again. I didn’t know it was possible to have your period that soon, and that close together but im almost positive that is happening to me as well. The blood is a evenly heavy flow like a normal period so I’m guessing that is what it is.
A: Hi;Don’t get worried immediately. You have made a pretty good search about your situation. All Things you have read may be true. But I don’t thing that is a hatching bleed. Because it happens between 12-14th day of the period as you say so. The last thing you wrote as an addition to the question seems like the most possible answer. When you stooped OCS(oral contraceptives) there may be a bleeding that is called pull-out bleeding(I’m not sure that is the correct word for it but it is called like that in my language). And the EC pills affects the same way. So both pills can cause an early period. But you made the right decision having an appointment with the gyn. But other than your research there are some more possibilities. One of them is becouse of the rough intercourse there could be a trauma on the cervix’s neoscuamocollumnar junction. This is a microscopic area on the cervix that is extremely vulnerable to the trauma. And this microscopic area is the most available place to cancer to start growing. A sexually active woman must have a periodic controll every year before age 35 and every 6 months after 35. Your situation is probably because of the pills but for your own safety I advice you to see a gyn periodicly every year or every 6 months.Hope you get well soon.MD. Hazer Ayvaz
