They create a tingling or burning sensation, discomfort and painfulness even when talking .Anyone can get a canker sore but teens and people at their 20's are the ones commonly affected by this condition, they may run in the family but they are not contagious. They are often triggered by stress, poor nutrition, menstrual periods, allergies and lack of iron vitamin B12 and folic acid.. Toothpastes may also cause canker sores for it contains chemical ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.Canker sores just heals after a week or two, there is no available medical cure for this condition, however there are dental health products that may soothe and relieve discomfort and may speed up its healing and it is also best when combined with good oral health care habits such as brushing and flossing will prevent the growth of bacteria that may cause serious gum diseases. how do you get rid of a canker sore?
Q: I've been eating too much fried food lately and i got a canker sore. it hurts because it's right next to my teeth and it hurts when i talk and open my mouth. i tried rinsing it with salt water but it only ease the pain for several minutes, anyone know what is the fastest and easiest way to get rid of the sore? plz and thank you,the pain is killing me
A: Mild salt water with baking soda, as warm as you can comfortably stand it. Rinse as vigorously as you can. Then, wash your hands well and use a finger to massage the area around it gently. Get as close as you can, and you'll find the more you massage, the better it will feel. The idea is to help the circulation to remove toxins from the tissues around the sore. This will give you some relief for a while.Avoid using things like anesthetic mouth sprays. They help for a few minutes, but can actually make the sore worse. Also, avoid toothpastes that are clear. Better to use straight baking soda, really. To speed healing, get plenty of sleep and avoid acidic foods. Coffee and carbonated beverages are BAD news for canker sores. Also things like citrus, tomatoes, etc.If you get them frequently, look for a book called, "The Yeast Connection", and read it.
how do you get rid of a canker sore? please help :(?
Q: I've had a canker sore for 3 days and im trying to not mess with it but it just hurts too dang bad. What can i do to make it heal faster?
A: I disagree with the recommendations above. Both salt water and Listerine will make your canker sore hurt. There is a product you can get in any drug store called Glyoxide. It combines hydrogen peroxide to get rid of the canker sore with glycerin to sooth it. It works really well and it does not hurt. Some big chain drug stores have their own store brand, and they work just as well and cost less. You will find Glyoxide in the dental area of the drug store. Good luck!!
