Is HEAVY vaginal bleeding dangerous when it is caused by ROUGH sex?
Q: So, here goes… My boyfriend and I had some extremely rough sex last night. I began bleeding shortly afterwards and while it’s only been about 15 hours since we were through, the bleeding seems to be getting worse… Does anyone know if this is something that will go away and heal on it’s own or do I need to see a physician? For informative purposes I will add that my menstrual cycles are quite regular, and no, it’s not even close to time for that. Actually, I am currently right smack in the middle of my last to my next. I also understand that with rough sex comes minimal bleeding, however, this is not minimal bleeding. What I am currently experiencing is at the very least a “heavy flow”… Any suggestions? Or has this happened to anyone else? And what was the outcome? Please Help. Thanks for your time…
A: Any time you have HEAVY blood flow, you should see your physician. . . it is after hours, and I would highly recommend going to the emergency room. People have rough sex, and sometimes things happen as a result of that. Something might have ripped or who knows. The important thing is to get it fixed so you can go on with your life.Don’t feel embarassed. The only stupid decision is to not take action when something out of the ordinary occurs.Take care of yourself!*Lee*
What has caused bleeding after sex and burning pain during?
Q: I am a 25 year old woman with no history of gynecological problems but have just experienced heavy vaginal bleeding after intercourse. I felt a burning sensation during sex and when going to the toilet i passed a lot of blood and a lump of what looked like dark blood. I use the implant contraceptive and have been on my period for 3 weeks. This blood after sex was much lighter in colour to my period and I have no further pain. Have I cut myself inside or should i be worried and see a doctor? thankyou
A: I would recommend seeing your doctor, just to be on the safe side. Best wishes.
