- Q: I don't know, I went to the clinic and they think i've been having miscarriages. I'm going back to get the actual pelvic exam in 2 days. The dates of my periods were August 16th, September 11, and October 14th. Here are my symptoms and what is normal for me.These all started in August too. -Period lasted for only 2 days, GONE by the third day (Usually it lasts for 4-6 days)-Blood starts out like black and then it will turn to regular/bright red-I've been clotting about half the size of my hand, i'd be on the toilet for about 10 minutes everytime I have to pee and the toilet is always pure red because of it. (usually my clots are about a dime size if that)-I have HORRIBLE cramps which hurt the most after I pee/when the clots come out.-I have to change my pad every hour and a half to two hours. I've been using a pad AND a tampon to keep it from the heavy clots. (Usually I change pad every 3 1/2 hours and only use a pad)What do you guys think? Do you think this could be anything else like Endometriosis or something? I know I do have a split/heart shaped uterus called Bicornuate Uterus. I've also been having these sharp shooting pains in my stomach, they come and go all the time.
- A: It doesn't sound like miscarriages - it is highly unlikely that you have fallen pregnant 4 times and miscarried 4 times in as many months.The Bicornate Uterus shouldn't present problems with your period (I had a septate uterus that I didn't find out about until I started TTC). It could be endometriosis or it could be a hormone problem.You should ask your doctor to do further investigations, an HSG test and hormone tests to find out what is really going on.
