- It is possible to be pregnant and still experience some bleeding, however, the same amount of blood as a normal period is rare.

- Is it possible for a girl to get pregnant while she is having her period?
- Q: I just met this girl at the beginning of June and we just found out shes pregnant. Im excited and this girl is really cool so im happy even though this wasnt really expected. She had her period around june 13th or 14th. If we had sex the day before her period is it possible that she could have conceived during her period?I am planning to get a DNA test but that can only be done after the baby is born so Im kind of stuck until then I guess. Does anyone know how much the test costs?
- A: It is possible , but very unlikely. Ovulation typically occurs about half way between periods, but if the periods are irregular, it is possible.
- can a girl get pregnant on her period?
- Q: Im a guy so forgive me if this sound dumb, cause i dont know. anyways. my girlfriend takes birth control on a daily basis, but didnt when she was on her period. I guess thats normal?? but then we recently had sex, and i didnt know she was on her period, (yeah gross). Then we did it again a few days later, and she said her period was done. but she wasnt taking the pills, she did say shes was still bleeding very little tho (maybe still period). She starts taking the pills again a day or 2 after we did it. (like i mentioned before minimal bleeding still tho)as far as sex goes were pretty safe(birth control) but for some reason im nervous. Is it possible to get pregnant even tho shes keeps having periods. Main reason im nervous is cause she does seem to be getting bigger in the stomach like JUST the stomach and no where else, like shes pregnant.and also had a really bad cramp recently. Am I worrying too much, if she gets her period again are we good? I have no idea!!!well, from all these answers so quickly, it seems its very possible. But in my situation, is it very likely??
- A: If your girlfriend is on birth control, then it's very unlikely that she's gotten pregnant, especially on her period. However, if she has only been taking them for a very short while, then the pills may not have had time to kick in completely yet. (You shouldn't have sex without an alternate method of birth control in the first month of taking birth control pills. They need time.) But if the sex on her period just happened recently, then the swelling in her abdomen probably isn't her getting pregnant. Most women don't start getting a "baby bump" until they're about sixteen weeks along, unless they've already had a baby. That being said, yes, a girl can get pregnant while she's on her period. When the egg is released, it lodges into the uterine wall to wait to be fertilized. If it isn't fertilized, the girl gets her period. The blood and stuff is the shedding of the uterine wall, which had been thickened in preparation for fertility in the days before the egg was released. (Yeah, it's not pretty. Sorry.) But the part with the egg isn't the first thing to shed, necessarily. So if you happen to fertilize the egg before it's expelled, then her period will likely stop, and she'll be pregnant. I don't think you have anything to worry about, though. The odds are against her being pregnant. (A lot of women get a little thicker around the middle when they use birth control pills. It's a hormone thing.) However, maybe you should consider continuing to use condoms if you're this worried about her becoming pregnant. I know it's lots less fun, but the thing of it is that you seem terrified at the very idea, and I think you'd have a lot more fun with a condom than being worried that your girlfriend is pregnant. The Pill isn't 100% effective, especially if she occasionally misses pills, and neither is a condom, but the odds of her getting pregnant are greatly reduced by more than one birth control method.
- Is it possible for her to be pregnant?
- Q: my girl friend has been using her birth control pills...and one day (like 2 weeks ago) we had unprotected sex..and i had happen to ejaculate in her..shes just had her period a couple days ago..my question is...can she still b pregnant even if she had her period? is she even pregnant?my girlfriend has been on the pill for all ready 9 months..she rarely misses any days of her pills...
- A: If she had her period AFTER the "incident" + IF she is taking her pills appropriately the chances of her being pregnant from the incident stated in your question are REALLY slim, like almost none. But I'm sure weirder things have happened somewhere in the world. My piece of advice is this... If you don't want your gf to get pregnant (or to have to stress if she is or not) don't blow it inside her.. Or use a condom. Its a lot of trust that she's taking her pill according to directions and it sounds as if you aren't ready for the possibility of a pregnancy. Be smart do what makes you comfortable!
